Having education as an architect, Valentina always tried combine "pure
art" with traditional woman crafts like sewing, knitting, embroidery.
Her wonderful cloth collections were presented at several demonstrations many
times with great success.
Here bobbin laces created by her and according to her pattern are presented.
Ancient technique of bobbin lace gives unlimited possibilities for artist
- almost any form and any drawing can be fulfiled. Valentina knows a way to
combine beaty of ancient pattern with modern design style in her works.
"I've been always admired with our north nature, its
not bright colors and refined shapes. All of my works are suggested by them.
I use mostly linen in my work. This material is traditional for us, it is
beautiful and can bear a lot of association."
