Temari

An unusual word "Temari" is widely known all over the world to fans of needlework. Temari are traditional Japanese embroidered balls. The history of temari come back for not one hundred years, and numbers of fine samples of this art are created by temari crafters during this time.

Temari art develops actively today. The Temari Association of Japan now has thousands of members . The association includes people from all countries of the world interested in this remarkable craft.

Temari art for the present is poorly known in Russia, though, undoubtedly, it will very soon find the admirers here too.

May be not everyone will reach such skill level to be a member of association, but to try to make some balls is needed - the needlework is very fascinating, and completed temari make in children's delight of anyone who sees them.
